I am employing not one but several userpics from this game because I like it so much. I am even going to try my hand at custom livejournal layouts and see if I can make my LJ more cyberpunk!

Landmine is home. My cat is home. I nearly cried dear God she is back and in my lap I never thought this would happen.

About three months ago there was a terrible storm at night that Landmine was out in the middle of. She didn't come home that night, and after a few days we started to worry. I think that she went looking for shelter and got lost. We tried calling shelters, putting up signs, but no one was really responding. A month ago we got a call from someone a mile or two away saying they have seen her in their backyard, and that they will try to catch her next time they see her. Of course, since those sightings she didn't turn up again.

This morning at 7am my family rushed in to tell me that she came home. After three months of surviving on her own in the wild she came home. I have no idea how she made it. I don't think I could have survived for that long. She has never been a good hunter and was only an "outdoor" cat for 6 months before going missing. Her voice is totally hoarse and she barely weighs 3 pounds. We gave her a bath and there is practically no meat on her body, where she was actually getting fat last time I saw her.

God I am happy. She is still in my lap, and still rests her chin over my forearm while I type the same way she used to. She meows and rushes to follow me if I get up to leave the room.

I am grilling this little lady a fucking delicious hamburger today is all I'm sayin'.

I will not get into the numbers but my appetite was ferocious. I will just say that there were a lot of hard boiled eggs in my refridgerator this morning and now there are very few(UPDATE: I just ate two more). That is just one of the many feats of my eats today. I think I am making up for barely eating anything yesterday when I pretty much almost died? My face was all spotty and I got a phantom hickey on my neck? Who put that there.

I have been playing a lot of Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, which I recommend you all buy. Oddly enough I find myself playing Street Fighter Alpha 2 more than Alpha 3? Maybe I can be one of those SF elitists who thinks 2 was the better game.

What I'm trying to say is that I did not leave my house all weekend and I loved every second of it.

-Sleater Kinney broke up and I am depressed about that. I might have to try to drive to TN this summer for my last chance to see them live. I am now going to listen to a shitload of S-K every day in mourning until I am completely desensatized to lesbians.

-Heat Street, the fake boy band I am a member of, recorded a new song last night and I am very proud of it! I haven't been much involved in that stuff lately for various reasons, but last night I was reminded of how much fun this all used to be. I hope it continues. There was a huge jump in quality between our first song and "Summer Fun Convertables," and I think there was another huge jump between that song and this one.

Poor Jesse had to hear me say this about 9 million times last night, so I will say it here so I don't have to keep saying it. I got a new car! A 2001 Monte Carlo. It is the brightest, most obnoxiously red car I have ever seen. I want to take my Michigan friends for a ride.

Also, for those of you who were concerned about the quality of character of the people I met at Beach House the other week: Your apprehensions were well-founded. Since my first taste of role playing at Beach House, I have been playing Call of Ctulthu in an IRC channel the past few nights. I felt like I was coming out of the closet to my dad today when we had the following conversation at an auto parts store, fixing his truck (the location of choice for people to come out of the closet):

Rikc: (glancing at clock) uhm dad, do you know how much longer this is going to take?
Dad: Hold your horses Rikc, we just have to get this belt on and hook up the new battery and we can go home. Why are you in such a hurry?
Rikc: Ur, I have to be home by 7pm.
Dad: Why?
Rikc: ...I am playing Dungeons and Dragons with some people online and I can't keep them waiting.

My dad's tone lowered to "I have failed as a father and you have failed to ever get laid before you die" levels.

I put my two weeks in at the pizza place today. I put my two weeks in at Tasty Addictions.

I guess I could tell the short story but it is very boring, so let's just say this: Please don't fuck with me, and if you do fuck with me don't try to run out of the building before I even come in to start my shift one week after the fact. You are a full grown man. You are in your 50's. You should be able to hold some sort of accountability by now.

That was a really, really good trip. I miss you already, internet.

I am leaving for a week to hang out by the Atlantic Ocean with some cool friends.

Oh btw I crashed my car today. Goodbye, 1993 Ford Thunderbird. Thanks for not taking me with you when you died. I'm going to miss you. Between cats and cars and people I am losing a lot of things I like this year! I'm holding up okay, but let's hope that this trend does not continue.

Clearing some space/making a few extra bucks, I am selling off most of my NES collection. I haven't gone through and priced these games, so if you see anything you like make an offer either here for via email, or ask for me to set a price. All of these games work. Most of them are in geat form, but I will let you know the exact condition of the games you are interested in as there are a few with label wear/marker/sticker gunk. All games will be cleaned before shipping, and will arrive in a black sleeve. I will only be taking "orders" until Friday, at which point the unclaimed games are going to either be sold at a garage sale on Saturday or set aside to be sold on ebay. Also please keep in mind that any games won't be shipped until after the 17th, as I'm going to be away starting Saturday.
